GoodLife Foods to Acquire Audens Group Solutions

June 2024

Dutch vegetarian-foods maker GoodLife Foods is set to acquire Spain’s Audens Group Solutions. The terms of the acquisition, including the purchase price, have not been disclosed.

GoodLife Foods, based in Breda and renowned for its spicy beanburgers and falafel, has been under the ownership of the UK private-equity firm IK Partners since June last year. The company counts major UK supermarkets among its clientele.

Audens Group Solutions, headquartered in Barcelona, specializes in frozen ready-meals and Portuguese products. The company’s portfolio includes a wide range of branded and private-label products, with a strong emphasis on frozen snacks, appetizers, and ready meals. Audens supplies both retail and foodservice channels, primarily focusing on the Iberian markets.

Employing more than 800 people, Audens operates five manufacturing plants across Spain and Portugal.

Upon completion of the deal, Audens CEO David Sala Coll will transition to a role as a non-executive director at GoodLife Foods and will serve as a strategic adviser to the Spain-based business. Carles Bosch will take on the role of general manager of Audens, overseeing daily business operations in Iberia.

This acquisition marks a significant expansion for GoodLife Foods, strengthening its position in the European vegetarian and frozen foods market.
