Welbilt exhibited at the prestigious new GulfHost show. This is the first time that Welbilt exhibited in the Middle East as a standalone foodservice company and highlighted the dedication and focus on this key region for the business. To mark this event, GulfHost was the home to the regional launch of Welbilt's NEW Xpress Grill - the latest innovation from its Garland brand. Representing the next generation in two sided cooking, visitors to the stand (S1-A10) were able to experience first-hand the superior design and functionality of the new grill. Featuring upper and lower grill plates which are able to cook both sides of the food simultaneously - all with the simple press of a button - cook times are reduced by up to 50% compared to conventional flat grills. What's more, the Garland Xpress Grill is complete with advanced temperature controls utilizing 'smart anticipation' to ensure that food is always cooked to the appropriate core temperature each time. In addition to this the Xpress Grill boasts energy efficiency increases of up to 20% compared to previous models thanks to each grill lane being independently operated at its own unique set temperature, meaning that operators can achieve the ultimate in menu flexibility whilst also being able to switch off the grill lanes that are not in use for further energy savings. There were also a dedicated area on stand where the development chefs hosted live cooking demonstrations on Welbilt's renowned Convotherm, Merrychef and Garland brands, to name a few.
