This innovative platform, named ProteinDiscovery.ai, leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning to facilitate the identification and testing of proteins for various applications, ranging from high-intensity sweeteners to emulsifiers.

The platform offers users access to a vast database comprising over 33 million molecules, searchable by protein sequence, functional use, and successful expression efficiency in microbes via precision fermentation.

Unlike other players in the field, Shiru focuses on natural proteins rather than designer proteins. Hume emphasized that the platform aggregates a comprehensive database of natural protein sequences, enabling users to explore solutions that align with nature's offerings.
