Manufacturers of biscuits or crackers, cookies, pasta or noodles, hard or soft doughs can replace their batch mixers with a continuous one. A Proform ME Continuous Mixer constantly supplies fresh dough to the customers down-stream forming equipment. With its non-stop process, a Continuous Mixer eliminates the difficulties associated with processing hardened or dried-out dough made batch-wise. The ME also makes it possible to quickly change recipes, without the down-time for cleaning. The Proform ME extruder can be used to mix dough in a sufficient quantity for a production line running in a tight flow, which ensures that fresh product is always supplied to down-stream forming equipment. Or the ME can be used to mix dough for a line running product that requires intermediate curing or maturation. As the mixing time is very short (less than 2 minutes) there is very little product residing in the mixer; and if a quick stop is needed, only a minimal amount of product may be lost. The integrated system can manage an innumerable quantity of recipes through the PLC and the operator touch screen. The PLC controlled metering of the ingredients assures a very consistent, high quality product, with automatic tracking of the recipe components. Proform also supplies the dosing equipment used to meter recipe ingredients into the ME Continuous Mixer, whether they are pasty, liquids or powders. Its capacities range from 150 to 6500 kg/h, it is also available in many line configurations.
