Technica has developed a high-speed robotic de-palletizer which is installed in Petromin plant, in Jeddah. This de-palletizer combines all the features of pallet handling, layer de-palletizing and interlayer removal at a speed of 5 layers per minute. The robotics division in Technica was established in 2011, after signing an AVP (Authorized Value Provider) agreement with ABB. Over this period, the company designed and installed a total of 50 robotic solutions and palletizers for major companies in the Middle East and Africa region, among which: Almarai, Sadafco, Nada Dairy, Ouyoun Water, Nestle, Pepsi, Petromin and Al Rabie. To service the installed robots, the company has created a service center for ABB in Bickfaya, Lebanon that provides various service partner programs: remote service and continuous monitoring 24/7, robot care and preventive maintenance, access to customer portal (eBusiness), training and certification for customers engineers, spare parts stock program. With the acquired know how, the company now offers multi-robots solutions, to palletize multiple products from all the production lines, without operator interventions. These solutions have been already installed at major dairies in the area. Founded in 1982 by Tony Haddad, the company is a shares company (SAL) with 100,000 shares and paid up capital of USD2 million. The company network includes 7 branches with sales and customer service support: Jeddah, Riyadh, Cairo, Dubai, Lagos, Accra and Baghdad.
