A great success this year for Cama at the two prominent exhibitions in Germany, with the very last BTG innovative lines. The IF318 machine, the company's new innovative "pitch-less" monoblock platform for the robotic forming, loading and closing of cartons, was showcased on stand both in Hannover and in Dsseldorf, altogether with another new innovative monoblock BTG system. Rockwell Automation and Microsoft also demonstrated virtual design on a Microsoft HoloLens headset. A mixed reality experience was created with Cama machine, to introduce the future virtual service and training on Cama lines. The company's development of a Digital Twin for the machine, together with a Pack ML compliant user interface incorporating both condition based maintenance and predictive maintenance capability, showed Cama's vision of the Industry 4.0 concept. The IF318 has raised a lot of interest both from visitors and from other exhibitors impressed with the wealth of digital development incorporated on the machine. Within the prestigious Rockwell Automation contest "Best Future Machine Award 2017", Cama rated highly in four categories out of five (modular machines, smart machines, sustainability and traceability & product safety), topped one (ease of use) and won overall competition. The Italian company tripled the number of visits to its stand, compared to the last Interpack exhibition, as well as closing several major projects on stand and acquiring some new important business.
